CREDO
"Credo" is an old fashioned word. It means "I Believe." Ruland Associates, Inc. is a values-driven company with a unique management mindset: the ethics of an organization have as much to do with its achievements as does its management structure or technology expertise. RAI's credo is based on four tenets:
-
THE CUSTOMER IS NUMBER ONE. We take exceptional care of the customer via superior service and superior performance. We listen to our customers. We find out what they want, and we give it to them.
-
INTEGRITY. Doing business by doing the right thing is the only acceptable behavior. Operating from the ethical high ground in accordance with all applicable laws and standards of conduct is entirely consistent with the goals of profit and perpetuity. RAI is proud of its reputation for integrity and is fiercely protective of it.
-
PRODUCTIVITY THROUGH PEOPLE. The root source of quality and productivity gain are the people who comprise RAI. Pride in the organization and enthusiasm for its works are the hallmarks of this company, and this intensity – stemming from strongly held beliefs – separates RAI from the competitive pack.
-
BIAS FOR ACTION. Although we may be analytical in our approach to management and decision making, we are not paralyzed by this fact. Respect for the individual demands giving everyone in the organization the space to innovate and empowering each person to behave proactively. Bottom line: We make things happen.
ORGANIZATION
Teaming with our customers is built into the very way we see RAI. The following organization chart is not upside down. It reflects a basic reality that not all companies acknowledge – that the customer belongs at the top. The customer is the reason the company exists (and continues to exist). The next most important people in RAI are the managers who are responsible for executing customer programs. The principal obligation of the rest of the technical and administrative staff, officers and directors is to enable the program managers to deliver the quality products and services that the customer deserves.

ALL OF OUR CORPORATE BEHAVIOR STEMS FROM THIS VIEW
OF CLIENT IMPORTANCE.
HISTORY
Founded in 1986, RAI has provided information technology, management analysis and technical support services for public and private sector clients.
STRATEGIC LOCATION. While RAI continues to conduct most of its operations in the immediate vicinity of Washington, DC, in 1993 RAI moved its corporate headquarters from Northern Virginia to Harpers Ferry in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. This gained access to new labor markets, reduced indirect costs and leveraged the benefits of a secure operating location that is still within 75 minutes of the Nation's Capital.

Ruland Associates, Inc., can work hand-in-glove with RAI Properties in Charles Town, WV, 75 minutes from the Nation's Capitol. We are well positioned to meet today's "continuity of operations" – COOP – requirements.

IMPECCABLE REPUTATION. RAI markets by performance. The firm boasts 15 years with increasing contracts at its principal client and consistently receives top praise for going the extra mile to serve client needs. Never, in RAI's two-decade history has a deliverable or report been late or incorrect, and the firm's audit compliance is flawless. The Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) has even asked RAI to conduct contract management training for other companies. |
